Great Place to Live

The Town of Battleford and the City of North Battleford, known as the Battlefords, are beautifully situated atop either side of the North Saskatchewan River Valley in Northwest Saskatchewan. Lending additional charm to this area is the Battle River that converges with the North Saskatchewan River just south of the Town of Battleford, the capital of the North West Territories from 1876 to 1883. That’s just part of our rich history.

What’s especially exciting, however, is the promising future awaiting our current and future residents. Outstanding growth in our well-diversified regional economy, quality and affordable housing, strong school systems and wonderful array of recreational amenities are just some of the advantages of living in the Battlefords. Our proposed multiplex, with its indoor pool, soccer pitches, racquet courts, curling rink and performing arts centre would be a great feature in any large western Canadian city. But you would have to pay much more to live there than here in the Battlefords, where our population is growing at 19,000.

Imagine you and your family living close to beaches, camping, fishing, hunting, fine golf courses, scenic river valleys, cross-country and downhill skiing, a lively arts scene and fascinating museums. That’s the Battlefords. That, and so much more.
