The Battlefords provides excellent educational opportunities for residents of all ages. We have 11 elementary schools, 3 high schools and several community schools. North West Regional College and the btc Training and Employment Centre have campuses in our community and Lakeland Library Region provides our library resources.

The Living Sky School Division offers a K - 12 French Immersion program. The North Battleford Comprehensive High School is recognized through its athletic excellence and houses a competitive football team, along with many other sports.

The North Battleford Comprehensive High School offers over 100 different courses. More than half of the courses offered follow the traditional academic program, 17 are offered in business education and 36 are offered in the technologies and trade. A computer science class is also incorporated into the curriculum.

John Paul II Collegiate is a catholic high school for grades 8-12. The high school has incorporated a community school, which more in-depth involves families with the school to ensure success. Sakewew High School opened in August 2002. It is one of the first of its kind, formed under joint agreement between the Battleford School Division, North West School Division and Battlefords Tribal Council. This First Nations High School offers affordable, licensed daycare for parents attending the school and has experienced tremendous success in increasing high school completion, along with providing leadership for their students. North West Regional College
The mission of North West Regional College is to provide adult learning opportunities and to promote lifelong learning as a means of enhancing the cultural, economic, and social life of the individuals and communities it serves. The college focuses on career development and assists individuals in exploring educational opportunities and occupational goals through its career centre.
The college offers full-time and part-time technical training, university classes, academic upgrading, and non-credit professional development courses. If specialized training is needed, the college will customize training to meet the needs of employers. There are numerous safety classes, office related programs, computer courses, and skills training programs to ensure that local business and industry have access to trained staff.
The college has two main campuses – Battlefords Campus and Meadow Lake Campus. The Battlefords Campus offers an excellent first year University of Saskatchewan program. Smaller class sizes and personalized attention, together with the U of S professors and supportive environment make the learning experience positive and successful.

btc Training & Employment Centre
The btc Training & Employment Centre is a group of trained professionals who respond to employment needs in a collaborative manner and in partnership with educators, government, First Nations communities, Metis & Inuit communities, and the business community.
The centre offers ABE 10 & 12 and provides seminars, workshops, employment programs, life management skills, industry-established certification standards, leadership, and the necessary tools, knowledge and resources to enhance the skills of the participants, in an environment of trust and openness.
The btc Training & Employment centre will custom design a program to meet the needs of your business, organization, or industry.
